PhD Candidate in Political Science at the University of Wisconsin-Madison
I am a PhD candidate in Political Science at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and an Institute of Education Sciences pre-doctoral fellow.
My research explores the relationship between government and educational institutions, in particular how state politics influence higher ed and the dynamics of public university governing boards. I also conduct evaluations on college-access programs, and study the decisions that lead to education policy at the state level.
I am a graduate research fellow with the Institute for Research on Poverty at UW, and I was previously a pre-doctoral fellow with the Brown Center on Education at Brookings.
Previously, I worked for the W.E. Upjohn Institute for Employment Research and the Kalamazoo Promise as a senior research analyst. I'm a proud recipient of the Promise and used it to attend the University of Michigan where I studied Political Science and Spanish (2017). I also have an M.A. in Political Science from UW.
